Hyperion is nominated for the Pioneer Award in the 11th British Renewable Energy Awards.

Hyperion made the shortlist for the way it has brought innovation to renewable / clean energy recruitment since the business was launched in July 2014.

The Liverpool,  London and soon to be Berlin, based company works exclusively within the sector recruiting for a wide range of roles including design engineers, project developers, planners, site managers, business developers, project managers, finance specialists and marketing experts.

The company has quickly established itself and was winning international assignments before the end of its first year. In the first half of its second year trading it has gone from strength to strength, securing high profile clients including Sonnen, LG Chem, Hanwha Q CELLS, redT and SMA.

In addition to current clients in the UK and overseas, Hyperion is in talks with a number of companies, many US-based, about supporting their expansion into Europe and Africa.

Its work in the fast-growing area of energy storage has already led to it being inducted to the Energy Storage Alliance Top 100.ES100 Cert jpeg

Hyperion was founded by Managing Partner David Hunt. David had previously been a director of an award-winning multi-technology renewable energy company as well as having also worked in senior roles within the recruitment sector.

David said: “We believe we have created something very special. Clients continually tell us they like the fact we are totally dedicated to their sector and can offer extensive industry knowledge and established networks.

“The renewable / clean energy sector is still a young one which moves at a fast pace. Many companies have largescale plans for growth and it is essential they are able to identify and recruit the best talent for often scarce and senior roles.

“As countries all over the world switch on to renewable energy, we are working more and more with new regions and booming new markets. From Germany to South-East Asia, we are identifying the right people and putting them in the roles where they can thrive.

Associate Partner Ross Hoare added, “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the REA Pioneer Award. We are passionate about changing the way recruitment is done in our sector and we believe our approach is genuinely innovative and game-changing.

“We make it very clear we are not a database agency. Instead we make it our job to understand our clients’ businesses and to know who the best candidates are in the sector. It is about finding outstanding talent for our clients and creating great career opportunities for candidates.”
