We’re giving back…

At Hyperion we are passionate about creating a cleaner planet, and a fairer society. It isn’t by accident that we have for many years been active in the renewable energy and environmental sector.

We are therefore delighted to support these organisations that do fantastic work in the fight against climate change and its consequences, or address inequalities in society.

Trees for Life

Trees for Life is an award-winning charity working to restore Scotland’s ancient Caledonian Forest. Their long-term vision is to restore natural forests and rare wildlife to a spectacular wilderness region of the Scottish Highlands, including our 10,000 acre Dundreggan Estate.

Their work is about people as much as places. Their conservation work is carried out by volunteers and funded by their members, charitable trusts, corporate supporters and people who dedicate a tree or grove.

Dot.Art Schools competition

schools-champion-logodot-art Schools is an interactive, online, inter-school, art competition, taking part on an annual basis and culminating in an exhibition. Open to primary (year 5) and secondary (year 9) schools in the Liverpool City Region and now in Cheshire West & Chester, Cheshire East and Warrington. It is designed to nurture talent, raise ambition, and take art out of the classroom and into the real world. With the current threats to creative subjects on the national curriculum, dot-art Schools offers a way of keeping young people engaged with the arts, allows them to see a creative career path, and encourages them to attend exhibitions and engage with culture, outside of school.

Social Mobility Foundation

SMFThe Social Mobility Foundation (SMF) is a charity which aims to make a practical improvement in social mobility for young people from low-income backgrounds. The SMF was founded in 2005 by Linkson Jack (who served as Chief Executive until January 2009) in order to provide opportunities and networks of support for 16-17 year olds who are unable to get them from their schools or families. More than ten years on, the first students supported by us have gone on to be successful in achieving degrees and graduate entry jobs. As well as extending support to students throughout university across our 11 career sectors (Accountancy, Architecture, Banking & Finance, Biology & Chemistry, Business, Engineering & Physics, Law, Media & Communications, Medicine, Politics, and Technology) we now run programmes to support young people wherever they live in the UK.
