Global Electrical Distribution Product Manager - EV Charge Point Operator (Germany or UK Based)

We are delighted to partner with one of Europe's fastest growing EV charge point operators to appoint their new Global Product Manager to help define the global standards of their EV Charging products and Electrical Distribution Supply Equipment.

The Company

Our Client is a leading provider of electric vehicle charging solutions committed to delivering the fastest, most convenient network of EV charging points globally. To achieve this, we are supporting to expand their team of EV and product experts.

The Role

The Global Electrical Distribution Product Manager is responsible for the definition, development, and launch of Electrical Distribution products. This role will work with a team of specific hardware product managers and liaise with delivery managers and product and launch managers to drive scale and new market entry of new product offerings.

Key accountabilities include:

• Ensuring all Electrical Supply Equipment products are standardized and compliant with a minimum set of technical requirements.
• Maintaining the ESE catalogue and providing ESE solutions to regional engineering teams.
• Identifying, preparing, and issuing product technical specifications.
• Conducting innovative technology assessment and planning implementation into our clients network.
• Implementing solutions to upgrade or refurbish existing assets in operation.
• Improving the performance of existing assets in operation and reducing site-related energy costs.
• Developing Root Cause Fault Analysis and identifying solutions to installation, commission, and operation issues.
• Onboarding new ESE suppliers and serving as the primary technical contact with equipment suppliers.

Required skills and competencies:

• Experience in electrical engineering design and execution.
• Experience in specifying electrical supply equipment.
• Experience in project execution and delivery.
• Ability to work in a flexible and highly commercially focused way to achieve results.
• Deep experience of electrical infrastructure and the delivery of energy from point of generation to user/load.
• Experience in electric Vehicle Infrastructure and related energy management.
• Experience in the electric vehicle Digital field experience, Software protocols, and related business application.
• Team player, strong communication skills.

Desirable criteria:

• Electrical supply equipment (switchboard, substation) design and manufacturing experience.
• Project Management of similar power and hardware Projects.
• Technical and engineering rollout in the EV field.
• Attended standardization or regulatory bodies.
• Cross-cultural and global working.
• Operating management systems supporting sustainable process for effective operations.

Location: This role can be based in United Kingdom (South), Germany (North) or Netherlands (South).

Travel Requirement: Some travel may be required with this role.

Essential Education: Engineering degree at minimum, Master would be a plus.
